6 apartments (5 sea facing) are located on the island of Brac on the Dalmatian coast which is connected to Split by a very regular ferry which takes 45 minutes. Brac being the 3rd largest of the 1100 islands off the Croatian coast is a a popular holiday destination with its crystal clear seas and amazingly whilst nice and hot most of the year it is remarkably green with vegetation.
The apartments are located on the south east of the island in a spot called Puntinak which has views east across the bay to Sumartin and the stunning Biokovo mountains beyond on the Croatian mainland. If you look south you see the beautiful island of Hvar.
Why Puntinak? - The peninsula is populated by local people in generally larger houses interspersed with good quality holiday accommodation and is regognised locally as a desirable location in which to live but is also priced accordingly.
Transport links - It takes 30 minutes to drive to the main town of Supetar but even more conveniently only a few minutes from the apartments the town of Sumartin has a regular car ferry service to the popular Makarska riviera on the Croatian mainland just south of Split. The airport is conveniently located on the outskirts of Split but there is also an airport on Brac which is only 10 minutes away which takes charter airlines in season and is likely to get much busier and connected to more destinations.
Infrastructure changes - permission has been granted to change the the famous white stone (used in the Whitehouse) storage area in the inlet below to a Marina. This very likely change will bring in high class yachts for overnight mooring which will add to the attractiveness of the location and have a positive effect on property pricing locally.
In brief these beautifully located apartments are nicely situated away from the more touristy areas but with easy access to everywhere. The beautifully clear sea is a mere 100 steps below the property and the only restaurant on the peninsula (others in nearby Sumartin) is next door and family run with extra rooms if required.
